Happy Independence day ......What was the little thing you noticed today?

Today being India’s Independence day, you’d all have watched the parade and the flag hoisting at Delhi. Something that you see twice every year. Once on Republic day and once on Independence day.
If I asked you about the difference between the two, what would your answer have been? The dates when they’re celebrated and the reason why they are celebrated right? But there’s one other small detail you would have definitely not paid attention to. The flag hoisting.
On Independence day, if you notice, the flag enclosed with flower petals is at the bottom of the pole. The Chief guest(in this case, Prime minister), pulls the string till the flag reaches the top of the pole and then the flag unfurls. Immediately, the National anthem is played.
On Republic day, the flag is already at the top of the pole, stuffed with flower petals. The Chief Guest (The President), just pulls the string, the flag unfurls and the national anthem is played.
Had you noticed this while flag hoisting?
Well, I’ll give you the reason why this is followed.
August 15th 1947 is when India got Independence from the British rule. So the British flag was brought down and the Indian flag went up. From the bottom to the top.
But, 26th January 1950, was when the constitution of India had come into effect. The flag was already on top this day because India had already gained Independence earlier.
This is the reason the Indian flag is hoisted differently (almost same though) on both the days.
