What is Li-Fi technology ..Let's know all about Li-Fi

Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) , a ground-breaking light-based communication technology, which makes use of light waves instead of radio technology to deliver data . With the invention of new Li-fi technology, you will soon find light bulbs of your car, light lamps in your room, lights in subway, flashlight of your mobile and any other light source are providing you internet access at very high speed.
It is so far measured to be about 100 times faster than some Wi-Fi implementations, reaching speeds of 224 gigabits per second ! (Quite Amazing , Right ?)
So what exactly is Li-Fi and how does it work ?
Li-Fi is the use of the visible light portion of the electromagnetic spectrum to transmit information at very high speeds. This is in contrast to established forms of wireless communication such as Wi-Fi which use traditional radio frequency (RF) signals to transmit data.
Li-Fi is a Visible Light Communications (VLC) system for data transmission. A simple VLC system has two qualifying components:
  1. at least one device with a photodiode able to receive light signals and
  2. a light source equipped with a signal processing unit.
The functioning of new Li-Fi technology is just simple. You will have a light source at one end like a LED and a photo detector (Light Sensor) on the other end.
As soon as, LED starts glowing, photo detector or light sensor on other end will detect light and get a binary 1 otherwise binary 0. How can data be transmit via this new Li-F- technology?
Flashing a LED certain times will build up a message to transmit. Flashing of lightis detected by the photo detector or light sensor and it will receive a message.
Now, think of several LEDs with some different colors, flashing together and building a huge information to transmit. It is observed that green laser with the red laser can transmit data at 1 GBPS.
Security Concern of Li-Fi :
It is a proven fact that Li-Fi is more secure as compared to traditional Wi-Fi. This is because Wi-Fi routers are generally used by attackers to enter a network and strong firewalls are also unable to safeguard your network from these attackers. One of the common reasons behind this is that the range of Wi-Fi routers is an important factor which enables these security breaches into your Wi-Fi network.
On the other hand, Li-Fi uses light which limits the range of the internet connection and it cannot be increased at any cost. Thus, not letting the bulb be lightened or dimmed manually. This peculiar feature of Li-Fi will protect your network from interference from your neighbours.

What is the most interesting invention/technology that most people have never heard about?

Smart Bottle - Latest IoT Device New technology has now been developed to track our water intake, hydration levels and total water consumption, which can be used to help consumers stay healthy. Get More Source About Smart Bottle,  Download PDF Brochure A smart water bottle measures the amount of water a person is drinking through sensor technology, usually located in the cap of the bottle. The features of a  smart water bottle  can also include, temperature sensors, freshness timers, drinking reminders, and daily hydration statistics. Smart water bottles are great for health conscious consumers who may be having trouble with their diet plan or productivity because they are not drinking enough water. Some of the caps have an application on a smartphone or computer synced through their software over a wireless connection (like Bluetooth). Information is available directly so that recommendations or reminders can be made to adjust your water intake to fit your needs.

How to Boost Your Self-Continuity

Although self-continuity tends to increase steadily and moderately with age, according to Joshua Rutt, Ph.D., that doesn’t mean you have to wait until you’re 90 years old to connect with the future your. Here are five easy ways to get closer now. 1. Write your future self a letter. This forces you to really consider him in a thoughtful, directed way," Hershfield says. He coauthored a recent study finding that college students who wrote letters to themselves 20 years in the future were more likely to exercise in the next ten days than those who wrote letters to themselves just three months forward. Though the study only tracked exercise, focusing on your future can trigger a host of small behavioral changes that can affect you positively over time. And it's pretty simple. "Think about who you will be 20 years from now, and write about the person you are now, which topics are important and dear to you, and how you see your life," Hershfield says. 2. P
